Word: vine, vine-like plant



A type of plant characterized by long flexible stems which do not support themselves. They can grow horizontally along the ground and/or climb available plants or structures. Examples: grape vine, Virginia creeper, ivy, wisteria, honeysuckle, hops

  1. The word {'arDeH} is glossed as "an ivy-like plant", but this is the name of the plant as a whole and does not refer to the climbing or trailing stem/runner structures, for which it would probably be useful to have a word.
