Use of firepower that degrades the performance of an enemy force below the level needed to fulfill its mission on a battlefield. EXAMPLE: Gunners use cover fire to protect exposed friendly troops advancing on the battlefield against enemy action.

Use a -meH clause with bach to describe the type of shooting being done, just like the English does in "covering".
