  1. This request is not clear in what it is asking for.

    Is it a request for two verbs "to have good taste" ("to like things I believe people should like") and "to have bad taste" ("to like things I believe people shouldn't like")?
    Is it a request for a way to say "X should like Y as much as they do Z"?

    I believe the concept can be communicated, it just has to be done in a different way. Perhaps something like:

    'Iw HIq wejwa' mumbogh 'aj laH'e' rur qagh wejwa' mumbogh laHDaj 'e' vIjIn
    I wish that the admiral's ability to sense the flavor of gagh resembled their ability to sense the flavors of bloodwine.
