  1. A {SIrghHom} could mean a thread as it is known from sewing, but the 'thread' of a screw is the helical structure that gives it its grip, which appears to be a different sense of 'thread' than {SIrgh}.

    It's possible to say {(Hut'In) vIlmey ver} "spiral-shaped (nail/screw) ridges", but I don't know if technically {ver} can refer to a straight periodic structure like a helix.

    So I'm probably going to vote for this one because maybe we'll get an answer to that question that way.
