I'm only 250 miles away, a bit north of Indianapolis. About a 4 1/2 hour
drive -- if I have a qepHom next May, you're invited. :-)

The conference fees are minimal, and meals are manageable. It's the hotel
room that takes the biggest chunk, and sharing with a roommate or three can
cut that down significantly. I (and my wife and son) customarily drive to
qep'a' rather than pay for an airline flight. (Assuming that's what we do
next year, it wouldn't be out of the question for me to make a 3-hour
detour and let you join our carpool.)
