easy: {Sov} = "know" ;-)

seriously, we have canon for both meanings.

interesting, only after I added the german translation, I noticed that in 
German the meaning of "know s.th." and "know a person" is sometimes 
translated with the same word.
Actually, we're very lucky that {Sov} applies to both!  :-)
