That would explain it.
(It doesn't quite explain the "another type of crane" comment, but
I'll consider the problem corrected.)

I put no trust in this embellished "definition". The people
responsible for the MSN Klingon Language Studies entries had no basis
for their long explanations of what the word meant, and definitely
got it completely wrong at times (e.g. {meH} "bridge" referring to an
elevated structure instead of a ship's control center).
When I look at it, the word {tepqengwI'} contains no implication of a
ship or a vehicle of any sort. The Bird of Prey poster shows it
referring to an apparent crane, literally just a "cargo carrier".
Grammatically, it could also be a person who carries cargo, a
"porter". But we have no canon support for considering it to be
equivalent to a freighter.
