RE: [KLBC] I need help with a sentence

DloraH:
>Do' is "fortunately", not "hopefully".

Dum'er:
: Hm, TKD lists {Do'} as "with luck, luckily". So I thought it could (also)
: be used like "With (any) luck, that won't happen."...

In that case, use the often overlooked verb {Do'} "be fortunate, be lucky"
instead of the adverbial {Do'}. E.g.:

  maDo'chugh QeHchoH wa'.
If we're lucky, one will get angry. (CK)

You have a couple of options. You can say as a wish:

  jIDo'chugh qaSbe' wanI'vetlh.
If I'm lucky, that (event) won't happen.

  qaSbe' wanI'vetlh 'e' vItul.
I hope that (event) won't happen.

or as a statement (perhaps you know something the listener doesn't):

  Do' qaSbe' wanI'vetlh.
  Fortunately, that (event) won't happen.
