Apart from SuStel's philosophical argument, {taH} does *not* mean
"exist" - it means "continue, go on, endure". Hamlet's asking if he should
continue to put up with life, not if he should suddenly start existing
where he hasn't before.
However, I don't see the fundamental difference between "I am" and
"I exist". The separation of the self from the universe is inherent in
the existence of the "I" - without that separation, there would be no
"I". So I find that "I think, therefore I exist" is a perfectly valid
rendering of "Cogito ergo sum".
For Klingon, I would make use of {mo'}:
{jIQubmo' jIH} "Because I think, I am."
{jIQubtaH, vaj jIH} could be construed as "I am thinking. I am a warrior".
