`Kahless' book

  Here is a list of Klingon words and names in a Star Trek scenario fiction
book called "Kahless" by Michael Jan Friedman, publ. 1996 by Pocket Books,
ISBN 0-671-54779-8. It alternates between (modern times on the Enterprise and
on Qo'noS in the time of the conspiracy against Gowron) and (ancient times
when the Klingons were pre-industrial and ruled by many warring kingdoms and
the original Kahless overthrew the tyrant Molor). I reproduce spellings and
case of letters and all apparent printers' errors (e.g. {l} for {I}) as they
are in the book. # = this seems to be a proper-name. The numbers are page
numbers in the book. The placenames are on Qo'noS unless stated otherwise. In
the story Klingons have patronymics, not surnames. (p232 and elsewhere says
that Klingon blood is lavender-coloured.)
  Here, the 60000-bars-of-gold-pressed-latinum question is "do we accept all
this non-Okrand matter as canon?"; but after that:-
  treehen = a species of bird <<<is an English word>>> 63
  #DIS jajlo' = a cave 200, is stated to mean "dawn cave". But it is the wrong
way round! and actually means "cave dawn". Unless it is a fossilized ancient
form from when word order was freer and relationships between words was sorted
out by now-lost case endings.
  d'k tahg = a sort of 3-bladed dagger 108 looks like {DuQtaj} = "stab knife":
this is a verb + noun compound. A better fit to the spelling would be {...taQ}
or the like, but I can't find a sensible meaning for that.
  {Vorcha-doh-baghk!} 299 was said in ancient times, and seems to be stated to
mean "All hail!". I can't find any likely similar Okrand Klingon form; this
may mean that (M.J.Friedman imagined that) tlhIngan Hol has changed much
between Kahless's time and now; or it may mean that in the original Kahless's
time the people of Qa'yarin spoke some other language than tlhIngan Hol:
likely originally the peoples of Qo'noS spoke many widely different languages,
like on Earth. (Perhaps `Klingonaase' is one such old Qo'noSian language.)
  The non-standard phonetics in {Kurn} as well as {Worf} may mean that the
Worf familyvame from an area of Qo'noS that spoke a non-standard dialect or
language, or at least had spoken a non-standard dialect or language recently
enough for a stock of traditional names with non-standard phonetics to survive
to Picard's time.
