No, they don't. Since plural suffixes are always optional, {jav 'uj} is
the equivalent of {jav 'ujmey}. I was focusing on the plural subject
{tlhIngan tera'ngan je} and ignored the plural object. Since I prefer not
to use plural suffixes after numbers, I made a beginner's error and read
{'uj} as singular and incorrectly added the prefix {lu-} "they [do
something] to it".
