Re: Why Klingon Poetry Doesn't Rhyme



For the record, taHjaj wo' both rhymes and scans, as well as uses correct
grammar (ok, *one* use of clipped, and that's just for poetic effect).  And
no cheesy pseudo-rhymes either.  So arguments of the form "Klingon doesn't rhyme
because it would be too hard or subvert the grammar" don't cut it with me.

Of course, there's no empirical reason to conclude one way or the other about
rhyming, but there's a real good pragmatic reason to prefer that they do:  It
is simply a fun challenge to try to do.
