The English translation "time from now" for pIq kind of reads "hence" or "henceforth" to me.

puq poHmey law' pIq "Many generations hence ..."

DaH pIq "From this time forward ..."

Perhaps pIq does need a specific time period, but thet doesn't mean one measured chronologically with numbers. Klingons measure history in generations - "Kolom, son of Kintar, son of Konom, son of ..." - so "the future" as a historical period could perhaps be expressed not as humans measure it, as in "the 23rd Century" but as "one generation from now," "ten generations from now" and so on.

wa'maH puq poHmey pIq - ten generations hence ...
batlh may'mey law' ret - many honourable battles ago ...

Of course they also occasionally measure time as a number: one DS9 episode mentioned something along the lines of "the Year of Kahless 999" or some such. So something like cha'vatlh DIS poH pIq "two centuries hence" could work.
