Before I answer, it would be helpful to know what you think you're
responding to.

Did you ignore the spoiler warning SuStel gave, read his translation
anyway, and decide you couldn't produce your own version with high
enough quality to satisfy yourself?

Or did you misread what he wrote and think he said "stop translating
it now"?

Whether or not you should give up depends on your goal.

If your goal is to translate this story, go ahead and keep at it.
You'll likely run into more difficulties, and get contradictory
advice from several people on how best to resolve them, but you'll
eventually get it done.

If your goal is to learn Klingon well, my advice is that producing
Klingon translations of works in other languages is less productive
than reading well-written Klingon, engaging in conversation, and
producing *original* Klingon text.

If your goal is for this particular work to be translated, as you
told me before, then you don't have to give up; your goal has been
achieved.
