Re: ngeD/nap
Adding a bit to Voragh's comprehensive citations:
For me, the English word "easy" makes a comment on the
degree of effort required by some experiencer to accomplish
a goal: "The ship is easy to hit", i.e., not much effort is
needed (in targeting correctly, etc.) to score a hit.
The word "simple", on the other hand, makes a comment on
the organization of some object or concept: "A drum is
simple in design."
To me, in English, the concepts are related but not
identical: "A drum is easy to play because its design is
simple". I would pair "easy" with its opposite "difficult"
and "simple" with "complex", eg. "Klingon is difficult to
speak because its grammar is complex".
In Klingon, alas, {ngeD} and {nap} both have the same
opposite, {Qatlh}.
