Some of them are analyzable. Others are due to changed lines
in the scripts of ST:III and ST:V. Yet others are English puns/matches
to English lip movements.

>betleH

Probably <batlh> + <'etlh>, then corrupted. (Not sure if
this derivation is canon, but probably most people think of
it this way.)

>bIghHa'
May be a pun ("big house").

>choljaH
Probably because these "come and go" out of fashion.

>chovnatlh
<chov> (v) "evaluate", <natlh> (v) "use up", which sounds like
what you do to a "specimen".

>chuS'ugh
<chuS> (v) "be noisy"
<'ugh> (v) "be heavy"

>Doghjey
<Dogh> (v) "be foolish"
<jey> (v) "defeat" (note: verb, not noun)

>DungluQ
Possible relation to <Dung> (n) "area above", which is where
the sun is during <DungluQ>.

>bo'DIj, ghIpDIj
Possibly related?

>HablI'
<lI'> is "transmit data (to a place)".

>Hoqra'
<Hoq> (n) "expedition"

>ja'chuq
<ja'> + <-chuq>

>jojlu'
Possible relation to <joj> "area between"?

>leSSov
<leS> "days from now" + <Sov> "knowledge"

>matHa'
I think this was a mispronunciation of the name <matlh>?

>meqba'
Possible relation to <meq> (v) "reason"?

>neHmaH
I think people have always speculated/joked that this means
"we want it". :)

>qelI'qam
Probably a joke on "kilo-"<qam>, i.e. "foot".

>voDleH
Maybe related to <leH>?

>'ISlaH
You mean <'ISjaH>? I think it's from <DIS> + <jar> and
corrupted.

>'urmang
<'ur> "to commit treason". <mang> is "soldier" but that
might be coincidental.

>bobcho', Ha'DIbaH
These are lip-matches.

>qama', ngeHbej, toDuj
These come from changed lines in ST:III and ST:V.
