Welsh National Anthem (KLBC?)

avarQ, son of gharan ([email protected])

A friend has asked me to translate the Welsh national anthem. I have
struggled to get what I have here.
Anyone interested in lending a hand? It would be nice if some of the
'poetry' could be maintained. :)

YR ANTHEM GENEDLAETHOL

Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyi i mi,
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, en wogion o fri,
Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwlatgarwyr tra mad,
Tros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.
       Gwlad! Gwlad!
       Pleidol wyf i'm glad.
Tra mor yn fur i'r bur hoff bau,
O bydded i'r hen iaith bafhau.

(CYMRU - SAESNEG)

The land of my fathers is dear to me,
Land of bards and singers, famous men of renown,
It's brave warriors, so good patriots,
For freedom they lost their blood.
     Land! Land!
I am faithful to my land.
While sea is a wall to the pure, dear country,
O let the old language continue.

The ******* line I just can't come up with ANYTHING for, and I realize
that most of the rest probably needs to be seriousl looked at.

Thanks for any help.
