It's a pity that this project is not supported by KLI.

There are some tools available in Internet written in tlhIngan Hol. Some 
of those like, but non only:

are well done and worth of appreciation in the effort of improving the 
interest and diffusion of Klingon language.

But none of those projects can be comparable to have a full programmable 
office suite environment with powerful linguistic tools like could be a 
Klingon OpenOffice.org .

Just imagine to have all the documents creation tools that you have 
dreamed and be able to use them directly in tlhIngan Hol for creating 
documents in tlhIngan Hol. Not only, but to be able to easily expand the 
functions by macro programming to introduce new specific linguistic 
tools, to use the internal dictionary system with Klingon terms, to have 
the auto correction function that underlines the wrong terms while you 
write them and many advanced text editing tools that hardly any other 
single managed project can ever imagine to handle. And everything 
completely free without any charge.

There are different macros available in Openoffice.org like 
"Vocabulary", a single word translation tool which can be easily adapted 
with a Klingon terms list. A such tool, for example, could be very 
useful for all KLI translation projects partecipants in order to easily 
doublecheck their work.

A Klingon OpenOffice.org can achieve two objectives in one:
1) Increase tlhIngan Hol visibility in the world, it will be the same of 
OpenOffice.org (as one of the over 30 supported languages)
2) Increase the availability of powerful linguistic tools for creating 
and managing documents in tlhIngan Hol.

For these reasons I think that KLI should support this kind of projects 
since it's in line with her mission, promoting the study and use of 
tlhIngan Hol.

If this is not possibile, at least have individuals expert in tlhIngan 
Hol to contribute in this effort to provide to all the KLI comunity, and 
not only, this kind of tools.

I  am really looking forward the day that I will be able to use an 
office suite like this one in tlhIngan Hol!

Let hope that Christian call for help doesn't fall in void.
