SuStel, I'm having trouble finding the section on plurals in TKD.  Where is it?  I'll take your word on the subject about inherently plural words, but I must read the section to dedicate the rule to memory :)

No. Read TKD's section on plurals, and you'll find that inherently plural
nouns are treated as grammatically singular.

QaSma' yIvuv.

It's /yI-/ instead of /tI-/ because /QaS/ is an inherently plural noun.

Likewise, in another post, you wrote */neghma' tIvuv/. This should be
/neghma' yIvuv/.
