Your message is a text message, not html.  Don't type the <a href="
just go with
http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/fanq/u/t/utheriv/worf2.jpg
You would also then remove the "> at the end.  For some weird reason
your link above also had .html tacked onto the end.
