-'egh says that the subject is also the object; but the vI- says the subject
and object are two different things. There are several ways to introduce your
name. Keeping it a verb as you used it, you could write:
jIHvaD Sengval ponglu' - One calls Sengval for me.
Or with the prefix trick you can use: Sengval vIponglu' - I am called Sengval.
You can also use pong as a noun.
For "mailing list" many here use jabbI'ID ghom.
The suffix -pu' is aspect. So the second sentence says "During a few months, I
had already read this thing." During a few months, the act of reading had been
completed. Without the -pu' it would say that the reading took place during a
few months.

As far as we know (last I heard anyways), ja'chuq is actually ja' with the
suffix -chuq; so this word doesn't get an object. (plus you didn't have a
prefix on there.)
One way you can handle this is something like:
maja'chuqtaHvIS Sajmaj wIbuS.
Another method (which some people don't like) is to use a type 5 noun suffix
and send it to the beginning of the sentence where type 5 suffixes gather into
a soup of things that are not objects, verbs or subjects.
Sajmaj'e' maja'chuq - "Setting the focus on our pets, we conversed."
> Ha'DIbaHmey vISaH 'e' bellaw'.
bel "pleased" doesn't take an object. Instead of 'e', use the suffix -mo'.
Ha'DIbaHmey vISaHmo' bellaw'. "Because I care about animals, she was apperently
pleased."
In your last sentence, the klingon is vengmaj, the english is "their new
city". Different suffix.
You certainly did well. Even with those few mistakes, we understood what you
were saying. Excellent job.
