<vuQ> is defined as "fascinate" rather than "be fascinating", so it can be
used in a variety of ways:

vuQ - It fascinates (in general) -OR- It fascinates him/her/it
muvuQ - It fascinates me / I find it fascinating

So <vuQ> all by itself can indeed be used this way. Just be aware of exactly
why.
