In all this discussion, nobody has yet pointed out that {jev} "storm" is a
verb.  I would have suggested {SuS} "wind" or even {SuS'a'} for this phrase,
but that's not going to fit well with the {peD} "snow" idea.

I'm not sure the idea of "storm" fits "snow" well in the first place anyway.
Why not just say {peDtaH 'e' yIHajQo'} or {peDqu'taH 'e' yIHajQo'}?
