Yes, I agree the discrepency is disturbing. I note in the Introduction to
the DS9 Tech Manuel that the author comments "no matter how much you enjoy
this book, I need it more," and goes on to explain that he constantly
refers to the manuel when writting DS9 episodes. Still, for the purposes
of the KLI, I'll go with Okrand's statement of 1 cheb=2.56 kg/5.16 lbs.
