Actually, since the wind is blowing *from* the west, the suffix should be
<-vo'>, not <-Daq>.
The explanation I think you are referring to is the recent newsgroup post
about the difference between <jIH chan> and <chanwIj>, with <chanwIj> being
the normal form, and <jIH chan> being subtly different and less common. In
your sentence, <jIH chan> actually works.
In any case, you still need the <-Daq>. Without it, the <jIH chan> would
have to be the object of <Qam>, which just doesn't make sense.
