It actually says "I won't correct the KLBCs yet because my husband says he
needs to sleep."

I followed up to this with my own error, it should have been:

{DaH bIQongnIS jatlhmo' loDnalwI' wej KLBCmey vIlughmoH.}
"I won't correct the KLBCs yet because my husband says I need to sleep."
it could also say "I will correct three KLBCs because ..." but it doesn't
make much sense that way.

When you're trying to translate, look at each verb, and judge from the
prefixes and the context, which of the words around it are part of that
clause and which part of another.

{DaH bIQongnIS} is obviously a clause by itself, because the only thing that
could follo it would be the subject, and the subject is implied {SoH} from
the prefix.

{jatlh} following directly after another verb is acting as a verb of saying,
so I am saying someone said words meaning {DaH bIQongnIS}

The subject, the person who said them, you ould expect to follow the verb
{jatlh} and it does. The subject is either {loDnalwI'} "my husband" or
{loDnalwI' wej} "my number three husband." Even without knowing me, you can
probably guess that the {wej} is part of the next clause.

{wej KLBCmey vIlughmoH} "I corrected three KLBCs" or "I didn't correct the
KLBCs yet."

The {-mo'} on jatlh indicates that him saying that is the cause of me doing
or not doing the action of the other clause.

}Maybe...
}"My husband's correcting 3 KLBCs because I need to go to sleep now"
}???

That would be {DaH jIQongnISmo' wej KLBCmey lughmoHlI' loDnalwI'}. And that
would be very funny.

Word order is very important in Klingon, as you can see from these
sentences. Most of the same words. Different meanings.
