I always read verb+{be'} as "not (something)."  {vaj ralbe'} to me says the
"not-fierce warrior."  He's not fierce; he's not much of anything else, maybe,
but he's not fierce.

To get closer to "peaceful" I'd expect to use {-Ha'}.  {ralHa'} is not only
"not-fierce", but actively "UN-fierce."  This follows the pattern of such
pairs as {par}/{parHa'}, {Do'}/{Do'Ha'}, etc.

This is basic stuff, but IMHO, it bears repeating (although I can understand
not putting too much pressure on the {chu'wI'} <g>).
