This group definitely serves beginners. If it didn't, we'd
never get advanced speakers. We provide a Beginners' Grammarian
and promise to try to answer every post even hinting at
deserving an answer.

Meanwhile, we are not all beginners. You need to tolerate that
helping beginners is not the exclusive function of this list.
It is also for advanced Klingonists who simply wish to
communicate using the Warrior's tongue.

If you can't understand a post, just delete it and move on. If
a post is completely in Klingon, that is because we want to say
something in Klingon to those who can understand it in Klingon.
If we translate everything into English, then we will never
know if we can actually understand each other as advanced
speakers of the language because we can always cheat and check
the English.

As a beginner, you SHOULD always post an English equivalent,
simply because beginners often write REALLY BAD KLINGON. We
don't mind that. As a beginner of such an unusual language
EVERYBODY starts out writing badly. Giving the English helps
those who want to help you see what you were seeking to say and
that can help save a LOT of time figuring out how to help you.

As a beginner, when you see an all-Klingon post, just delete
it. When you get to be an intermediate speaker, try to read one
or two of them, but don't get frustrated if you can't keep up.
Just practice some and then delete some. As you get advanced,
you'll be reading all of them and enjoying it, and you would
not want to spoil the enjoyment of reading a well-written
Klingon post by seeing foul DIvI' Hol at the bottom of the post.

As for me, I'm probably not as good as I could be if I had more
time to dwell on the really juicy, long, all-Klingon posts that
show up every rare now and then because of all the dozens of
beginners posting every single day. There are many more posts
here for beginners than there are for advanced speakers. Please
don't complain about the very few that there are for me to
really enjoy.
