The Life of a Klingon

I am still a begining student of tlhIngan Hol, so I will post in DivI-Hol.
Does anyone have any informatin pertaining to life AS a Klingon?
What is the gestation period? Their average lifespan? Education system?
Klingon biology (or the Anatomically Correct Klingon)? Do they have an
assortment of races-such as we do? (I've noticed that most of them seem
dark, like the African-Americans of Earth...although I think this suits them
very well!:thinking lustful thoughts of Worf:) what kind of instruments do
they play? Their history? The amount of airable land on their homeworld-or
do they farm at all? Sports-besides Curse Warfare? Do Klingon women wear
cosmetics? Enter weight loss programs? Are there any Klingon rock stars?
Stand-up comics?
Of course, I am simply looking into what Klingon life would be like...I
belive that to learn the language of such a magnificent race, it is also
important to study their culture, which I think was woefully disreguarded by
the Federation.
Why is it that whenever (and there were several occassions) a Klingon
dignitary beamed aboard the Enterprise, no attempts were made by the capatin
(or crew) to learn tlhIngan Hol-other than a few choice curses, to provide
sufficient Klingon cuisine, or to provide a Klingon room? I mean, one would
think that having Klingon allies would have been an important enough event
to have made certain allowances for visiting Klingons...as opposed to
everyone acting so shocked at Worf's brother's table manners.

Any comments are welcome-yes I do have a life and realize I am not ACTUALLY
Klingon...but it is the principle of the thing.
