The Utne Reader is the yuppy equivalent to Reader's Digest.
(So, you are in Glasgo. Why should I expect you to know what a
Reader's Digest is?) Basically a liberal editor started a
magazine that selects previously published articles in other
publications and prints the collection as another magazine. The
idea is that if you are of that political inclination, reading
Utne is the condensed equivalent of reading several other
magazines and exerpts from several books.
They did an article on Klingons. It was not about the language.
It was mostly about people at cons.
