: "How many Klingons change a light bulb?"

: The quibble here is whether "changing" a light bulb implies replacing
: it, to a Klingon, or just altering the existing one. It's also a
: little vague.

FYI, {tam} "substitute" (TKD E->K) seems to be used in the sense of
"exchange" one thing for another in SkyBox S33:

boq lucherDI' tlhIngan wo' romuluS Hov wo' je So'wI' cham Suqpu' tlhIngan
wo'. chaq tampu'. chaq romuluSnganpu'vaD pIvghor cham lunobpu' tlhInganpu'.
Cloaking technology was gained through an alliance with the Romulan Star
Empire, possibly in exchange for Warp Drive technology. S33

... so it might do for "replace" ({lIw} and {qa'meH} being the nouns,
depending on whether the replacements are temporary or permanent in nature).
{jom} "install (device)" from KGT is simpler:

  Hoch tlhIngan DujDaq So'wI' jomlu'
All Klingon vessels are equipped with a cloaking device... S33

  ngongmeH wa' DujDaq nuHmey nISbe'bogh So'wI' jomlu'pu'
[A cloaking device which didn't disrupt weaponry was installed in one
experimental ship. (not translated on card)] S33

: More elaborately, and probably unnecessarily so:
: chu'bogh moQ wov lanlu'meH tlhIngan 'ar poQlu'.
: "How many Klingons are required in order to place a new light bulb?"
: (The Klingon here is "light bulb which is new" because Klingon doesn't
: allow stacked adjectives like English).
:
: Qov - BG?

Do you really need to say "a *new* light bulb" here?

moQ wov jomlu'meH tlhIngan 'ar poQlu'?
How many Klingons are required to install a light bulb?
