I thought {baH} was far more common for torpedoes:
(tran) TKD p62: {cha yIbaH qara'DI'} or {qara'DI' cha yIbaH.} "Fire the torpedoes at my command."
(int) TKD p40 {baHchu'} "He fired (the torpedo) perfectly"
(int) TKD p72 {yIbaH} "Fire (the torpedoes)!"
(int} ST6 {Qo'noS wa'Daq baHta'...} "[Enterprise] fired on Kronos One..."
