Your absolutely correct.  I guess I should save myself some energy and look for a translation before trying to do it.  However, I would have thought "lughItlh" would be better for "written" than "luqon" which, if I am correct, translates to "they record(ed) it" instead of "they wrote it".

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it actually makes more sense to me (at least translated).

yay is a noun, not a verb, so you can't tack the verb-suffix "-wI'" on it.
Isn't this very sentence translated in TKW?  As something like "qun luqon
charghwI'pu'" or something?
