I know a while back there was a discussion about some Klingon dish that is
the partly digested stomach contents of some animal. I am assuming that this
is not the same thing, but rather the abdominal organs of an animal taken as
a whole, and used for food.

You are probably right. This was one of the few words sent to me by another
Klingon speaker. Since I don't have a copy of the book I had no way to look
up the context or to verify it. I'll update it to "Taknar (Animal)".
