given at a {lopno'} - a party or an "open house" celebration held on the
eve of a young Klingon's {nentay}, hosted by the father of the {lopwI'}
(celebrant). "Open house" means any Klingon warrior is welcome and no harm
can come to them while in your home, even if they are enemies. The
mother's duty is to welcome the guests, who bring {cha'nob} gifts. The
{lopwI'} has the choice of honoring the guest by accepting his gift or...
not! (KCD audio)

In the KCD Immersion Studies Vok says, "The celebration was declared a
{lopno'}. You have invited all the spirits of our Klingon ancestors."

The KCD Language Lab illustrates a {lopno'} by showing a group of Klingons
gathered around a table with food and {cha'nob} gifts. "Although grammar
tells us that the number is unspecified, to bring only a single gift would
be a horrendous insult." (Okrand, KCD audio)
