Very true. That being said, when there is no particular emphasis in the
sentence, *any* part of the sentence could theoretically be so replaced (if
I understand it right):
{ghobe'; HuD retlhDaq ba' targh} "No, the targ is sitting beside the hill."
{ghobe'; bIQtIq qoDDaq ba' targh} "No, the targ is sitting in the river."
{ghobe'; bIQtIq retlhDaq ba' Qaj'e'} "No, it's a kradge that is sitting
beside the river."

... *a* proper way to do it. As I said earlier, a variation on {tu'lu'} is
another explicitly canon way: TKW p.21 gives {tIqDaq HoSna' tu'lu'} "Real
power is in the heart", whose verb doesn't seem to be particularly marked,
particularly if {tu'lu'} is as common and formulaic as is implied in KGT
(p.127 IIRC).
