AFAIK {yaH} has never been used in canon. Notice that the definition is a
passive. How {yaH} "be taken away" is different in usage from {nge'} "take
away" is unknown, but {nge'} is used in an idiom in KGT:

   Ha'quj nge'
take away a sash (idiom: "wound one's pride")

"This is the Klingon equivalent of 'wound one's pride'. The sash represents
a Klingon's heritage. If the sash is removed, so is the Klingon's ancestral
identity, and, along with it, his or her dignity and self-esteem. It is
generally used with a possessive pronominal suffix attached to {Ha'quj}
('sash'): {Ha'qujwIj} (my sash'), {Ha'qujlIj} ('your sash'), and so forth.
Thus, the phrase {Ha'qujlIj nge'} (literally, take away your sash') means
'wound your pride'." (KGT 123)

Can you say,

   yaH Ha'qujDaj
his sash was taken away (i.e. his pride was wounded)

or does the idiom require {nge'}?

And then there's {tlhap} "take":

   vItlhapnISpu'
I needed to take her TKD

   De' vItlhapnISpu'

   De''e' vItlhapnISpu'

   bImejDI' reH betleHlIj yItlhap

   qatlh betleHDaj tlhapbe'
Why doesn't he take his bat'leth? KGT
