I just came back from orientation at the University of Norther Colorado and have exciting news!!! I am part of a select organization called the Honors Program (only top ten and high GPA students allowed). I was very excited to be accepted into this prestige group. The catch? I have to take 17 more credit hours than everyone else by taking more in-depth and analysis classes. Okay, so you're saying, "And this has to do with what?" Well, all the Honors classes that I'm taking (special classes designed just for the Honors Program) lead up to a final Thesis and Project in my Senior year of college. But not just that, both my Thesis and Project will be professionally published and placed in libraries. Basically, the Honors Program is having me minor in something that I will eventually have published. Now, here's the kicker! My minor, for the University of Northern Colorado, is THE KLINGON LANGUAGE!!!!!!!! I can minor in the Klingon Language!!!! And! have my thesis/project
published about the Klingon Language! And no, this type of subject is not unheard of (ya see, we can choose what to do the thesis on - in fact, they said last year a girl did hers on the Star Wars theme and its specific components with various instruments). Cool, huh!?! Very exciting news (I think for all of us), and one hell of a leap for the Honorable Language.
