More likely, Meghan and Erin are in some way related to someone named Kari.
By the way, there's an interesting typo on p. 8 of the latest HolQeD. The
word /qa'rI'/, which is otherwise used twice, is also misspelled as
*/qar'I'/ in one place. That sure is one correct armpit!
