I meant a combination of both. Stage directions were like "turns" &
"Archer faces the Chancellor." The translations were far more sparse.
The longest subtitles (Closed Captions) that didn't match the words
spoken were those Klaang yelled at the farmer, right before he got
shot.
Only two or three words were translated in the Sickbay...and
"Suliban" didn't need to be.

That should have been expected. What I was suprised about was that it
came as close as it did.
Note: They skipped the whole process this last week. That Universal
Translator certainly 'learns' quickly!
The Vulcan, on the other hand is nothing like anything heard before.
It sounds like they completely ignored all documented Vulcan, and
just made something that 'sounded Vulcan.' I'm not disparaging Ms.
Blalock's performance, or her desire to 'be Vulcan.' I think they
just didn't give her anything, so she just made it up.
The VLI will have to create an entirely new Vulcan dialect just based
upon "Strange New World" Episode.
The KLI was not treated quite so badly after all.

What do you say in Klingon, when you want to convey "thank you?'
I've seen {qatlho'} used here for quite a while.
Perhaps "Your services (efforts) are appreciated (by me, us)" would
be more kulturally korrect.
