Exercises for beginners

Read the whole grammar section of the dictionary before trying to write
Klingon. You will read it again many times.
Pick the section(s) you need work on.
A. This exercise is for low level beginners who have TKD 2nd edition.
Review the beginning of TKD section six, the part that talks about
OBJECT-VERB-SUBJECT. Remember to look in the addendum for vocabulary.
The lieutenant eats food.
The prisoner escapes.
A targ attacks the child.
The ambassador hailed the embassy.
The Romulan stole a communicator.
B. Review the prefix table at the beginning of the section on verbs.
Try to memorize this table. Translate the following without looking at
the table, then check your answers against the table. There are some
other grammar issues in here, too.
I am hungry.
You have food and you are not hungry. (you=two people)
I will serve you if you are willing to feed me. (you=two people)
Slaves offend me.
I kill slaves.
Those Ferengi insulted you. (you=one person)
You should retaliate. (you=one person)
You should start collecting ears. (you=one person)
Did you guys adjust the viewscreens? They flatter you!
You honour us. (you=a group)
I remember you. Do you like chocolate. (you=one person)
You visited me when the child was sick. You helped us. (you=one
person)
We are angry. We hate him. He makes us blow our tops.
He kicked me and he arrested you (singular).
Does he make you guys irritable?
We will help you guys if he attacks you.
My mother and father nag me. My brother likes them.
They are cold. They shut the door. They put on jackets.
We respect you, but we don't respect them. (you=one person)
