To me, "et cetera" doesn't imply "continuation" so much as "and more of the same" (as in the Russian equivalent <i tak dalee>, or "and such further").
I once used <latlh je> here to mean "etc.", as in <tajmey, 'etlhmey, latlh je ghaj Suy>, but I can't recall how well received it was.
