I am trying to say:

Thank you for asking. Unfortunately I am not yet healthy, but I am better.
There are little stones in my gall bladder. They are a problem. Sometimes
they cause me pain in the gall bladder. But a month ago, because of the
stones, I endured agony. I suffered from pancreatitis. If he endured
pancreatitis, a Klingon would scream with the pain. But I am only Human.
The hospital, surgeons and nurses were wonderful. They gave me medicine
which takes away pain. They make this medicine with a red flower. They
also gave me other medicines. Because of the flower medicine I did not care
about my illness. I was almost happy. I stayed in hospital for two weeks.

Because of my illness, two good things happened. I could not eat or drink.
So I lost 13 pounds (I need to lose pounds). I could not leave my bed. So
I lay in it and learned Klingon vocabulary.

When I returned home, I read the messages of this list. There were lots!
Before I entered hospital, I read these messages slowly. But now, I read
quickly. Now my knowledge is greater than it was before before I was ill.
Sometimes I am too confident. I misremembered a word so I said "egg"
instead of "message". When I write, I still need to use the dictionary in
order to be sure.

But because I can not go to the qep'a', I am sad. (I've bought the
T-shirt!) Because the qep'a' was in Europe I had been happy. Also, Belgium
is the home of chocolate (I can't eat chocolate but all my friends can).
But in June they will operate on me. My gall bladder will be removed. And
my *&^% gall stones! I will be well.

Queries:

{joy'} appears only as a verb in TKD, however, {be'joy'} appears to be a
noun, so I hope treating it as a noun is OK. Is {tlheD} transitive? There
was a list fairly recently and I don't think it appeared there, hence the vo
'. I assumed that {naH} can be a flower as well as fruit, because of
naHjej, thistle. Oh, yes, and I know that America (the continent) is the
real home of chocolate. I had trouble with the comparative, and I'm still
not sure - can you use {law'} and {puS} by themselves? I initially tried
{DaH jIyaj law', jIroppa' jIyaj puS} - now I understand more than before I
was ill), and I think it may be OK, since the construction is "A verb {law
'}, B verb {puS}". But it looked even less right than what I now have,
though I don't think the time has come when I can trust my ear (or eye,
strictly speaking) in Klingon. So, qar nuq?
