Hi there,
the problem that I as a German have with the Klingon gutturals H and
gh is their distribution.
In German we do have both sounds, but the gh-sound only occurs after
bright vowels, while the H-sound can occur after any kind of vowel:
aH not agh
eH or egh
IH or Igh
oH not ogh
uH not ugh
This makes it very hard for a German speaker to pronounce "ugh"
without smuggling a small "i" in there (like "uIgh").
Just my two cents on gutturals.
