Yes, he once admitted to having missed several deadlines while writing TKD.

What are you saying?! All the best warriors get writer's cramp. After a true
warrior has triumphed in many battles, and before he gets too old, he
commemorates his fellow warriors in song. If they all fought well by his
side, he'll have a lot of commemorative songs to write, and he'll definitely
get writer's cramp. "ngav" is a very useful word. It's the last pain a true
warrior ever feels.
