Well, English Grammar was never taught to me to this level of detail (here
in England) so these terms are terribly confusing.  I need to keep a
dictionary of grammatical terms handy so I can tell what linguists are
talking about.  SarrIS is correct in thinking that these terms, whilst they
might not confuse an already accomplished linguist who is starting to learn
tlhIngan Hol, they would certainly confuse your average star trek
fan-in-the-street who wants to learn it.
