Klingon WOTD: no''och (n-body)

This is the Klingon Word Of The Day for Saturday, January 6, 2001.

Klingon word: no''och
Part of Speech: body part noun
Definition: forehead

Additional Notes:
KGT, p. 29. (regional). The first syllable of {no''och} may derive from {no'} ("ancestors"), again suggesting something about genealogy. The second syllable, {'och}, probably resembles {'och} ("tunnel") only accidentally; there is no reason to think that "ancestor's tunnel" is a way to say "forehead."

See also {'aQlo'}, {boD}, {Huy'Dung}, {jargh}, {mIQ}, {tuqvol}, and, of course, {Quch}.
