Re: Klingon WOTD: ramjep (n)

: Klingon word: ramjep
: Part of Speech: noun
: Definition: midnight
: Additional Notes: Opposite of {DungluQ}.

Never used in canon, but in a June 1997 post on startrek.klingon on time stamps
Okrand translated {DaHjaj ramjep} as "this midnight, tonight at midnight"
(literally: "today midnight" or "today's midnight").

Related vocabulary includes {pemjep} "midday" and {DungluQ} "noon". What the
difference is between these is unclear. In the same post, Okrand gave examples
of both used as time stamps:

  DaHjaj pemjep
this midday, today in the middle of the day
(lit. "today midday" or "today's midday")

  DaHjaj DungluQ
  this noon, today at noon
(lit. "today noon" or "today's noon")
