Oh, I knew the entire Enterprise would have been too much to just
pick up the mortgage on it.
That was a fantasy. What I want to avoid, is Paramount shelving the
thing, and warehousing all of the material (or WORSE; putting it all
in the dumpster, an known pattern for Paramount).

Grass roots support programs, even headcount drives (something to get
us remote-fans back through those doors) could keep ST:E in Lost
Wages.

Next possability: We convince the P/V Park system to move ST:E to
another theme park.

Worst case: They dump or sell large assests, and warehouse the rest.
We want to be ready to mobilize rapid recovery & component scavenging
in
that case.

In ANY case: 'Vegas shows need to either grow, or be replaced by
something that
grows. Komerex nal Khesterex. ST:E has reached a plateau, and that
seems to be
unforgiveable. They have apparently even moved to cut off the one
steady source of income by raising the prices. Pricing out local fan
support is unforgiveable:
Fans; everybody knows that small crowds bring in even more people,
making larger crowds.

Hopefully there is a way to convince them to avoid pricing themselves
out of the market.

I suspect that is happening all over the city though. What is
happening in Cali (with power, and other costs & inflation) has a
large impact as well, obviously.

Seriously, the Hilton is a major pro-Convention site. Who knows an
organizer willing to risk setting up a professional ST Con in that
facility?

The Experience is not dead, but we appreciate your Reports of 'local'
events. It is great having a Klingon onsite. All the news that's
print to fit.

As I have said before STAR TREK LIVES; there will be another Series,
and soon after that, another Movie (that already has ink on the
contract, so it IS a done-deal). I just hope we can keep one
nationally focused 'place' that we can continue to call our own.

If anyone has plans on organizing events, Conventions, Weddings
(notes to self; adjust bridal registry), etc...Let's plan on
supporting your sole planetary Experience.
