Similar verbs include {nab} "plan, plot" and {QuS} "conspire".
N.B. {Hech} does not mean "mean" in the sense of "signify" - as in "What
does {toDuj} mean in English?" - for that many people here use {'oS}
"represent". E.g.:
DIvI' Hol "beard" 'oS <toDuj>'e'.
{toDuj} means "beard" in Federation Standard.
Note that Okrand hasn't quite used {'oS} in this way himself, but he does
use it in other types of definitions and explanations:
toDuj 'oS rol
A beard is a symbol of courage. TKW
qorDu'Daj tuq 'oS Ha'quj'e' tuQbogh wo'rIv
The sash that Worf wears is a symbol of his family's house. S20
